Awnbeat, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Awnbeat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use the Awnbeat mobile application, website, public event pages, communities, messaging features, events, payment features, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
The Service is intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old and located in the United States.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information from you, automatically through the Service and your device, from other users, and from service providers and connected services.
A. Account and identity information
We may collect:
- Your name, display name, phone number, email address, full date of birth, city, profile photo, biography, activity interests, social profile links, and account preferences.
- User IDs, authentication records, verification codes, session information, Sign in with Apple identifiers, and account-security information.
- Age and eligibility information used to confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
- Identity-verification information for Hosts, including legal name, date of birth, government-issued identification information or images, identity-verification results, and related records. Stripe may collect some of this information directly and provide Awnbeat with verification status or limited verification details.
B. Contacts and invitations
If you grant Awnbeat access to your device contacts, we may upload contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, and related contact-book information to:
- Identify contacts who may already use Awnbeat.
- Connect phone numbers with existing Awnbeat accounts.
- Help you choose individual people to invite to events or communities.
- Prevent duplicate or abusive invitations.
Contact access is optional and can be revoked through your device settings. Awnbeat does not sell contact information. Contact information belonging to people who do not use Awnbeat is deleted after matching or within 30 days, unless it is needed for an invitation, guest RSVP, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or another purpose described in this Policy.
You are responsible for having permission to submit another person’s information and for sending invitations only to people you reasonably believe want to receive them.
C. Profile, social, and relationship information
We may collect:
- Profile visibility and privacy settings.
- Followers, following, friend requests, community memberships, blocked users, and other social relationships.
- Verification status and badges.
- Information about profiles, communities, events, and accounts you follow, join, save, hide, mute, or block.
D. User content and communications
We collect content you create, upload, send, or submit, including:
- Posts, captions, comments, reactions, likes, tags, reviews, event updates, and community-feed content.
- Photos, videos, profile images, event images, community images, and message attachments.
- Direct messages, event chats, community chats, mentions, and related message metadata.
- Content moderation information, including automated or manual review results.
- Reports, report reasons, supporting information, enforcement decisions, and appeal information.
- Support requests, feedback, survey responses, and communications with Awnbeat.
Messages and private content are not public, but Awnbeat may access, preserve, or review them when reasonably necessary to operate the Service, investigate reports, enforce our Terms, protect users, prevent fraud or abuse, respond to emergencies, or comply with law.
E. Events, communities, RSVPs, and attendance
We may collect:
- Events you create, host, view, join, purchase, save, share, or invite others to.
- Event details such as title, description, category, media, price, currency, taxes, capacity, team setup, class schedule, start and end times, time zone, location, address, city, state, coordinates, waitlist status, public links, and event status.
- RSVP, registration, invitation, waitlist, purchase, check-in, attendance, cancellation, no-show, and refund information.
- Communities you create, manage, join, follow, or request to join, including community content, membership, ownership, administration, and moderation information.
- Your event check-in status and past attendance locations. Visibility of this information may depend on your account settings and the applicable event or community.
F. Guest RSVP information
People may be able to RSVP to certain events without creating an Awnbeat account. We may collect a guest’s:
- Name and phone number.
- Event and RSVP status.
- Guest count and notes.
- Check-in, attendance, or no-show status.
- Invitation source and related timestamps.
If a guest later creates an Awnbeat account using the same phone number, we may connect the guest RSVP to that account.
G. Location information
With your permission, we may collect precise or approximate device location while you use the Service. We use location information to:
- Display nearby events, communities, and activity locations.
- Calculate distance and provide location-based search results.
- Help you select an event, community, or check-in location.
- Support maps, directions, event discovery, safety, fraud prevention, and location-based features.
We also collect locations you enter or generate through use of the Service, including your city, manually selected location, saved locations, search locations, venue addresses, event coordinates, community locations, check-ins, and attendance locations.
Other users may see your city, event check-in status, or past event attendance based on your privacy settings and the design of the applicable event or community. Awnbeat does not intentionally display your live precise device location to other users.
You can revoke location permission through device settings, but some location-based features may stop working.
H. Calendar information
If you grant calendar permission, Awnbeat may add event details to your device calendar, including the event title, date, time, location, notes, and related information. Calendar access is optional and can be revoked through device settings.
I. Apple Health and fitness information
If you grant Apple Health permission, Awnbeat may read supported workout information so that you can create an update post from a workout. Depending on the feature, this may include workout type, start date, duration, and distance.
Awnbeat:
- Does not write information to Apple Health.
- Does not use Apple Health information for advertising, marketing, or unrelated profiling.
- Does not sell Apple Health information.
- Does not send Apple Health information to advertising platforms.
- Uses Apple Health information only for health or fitness features requested by you, Service security, legal compliance, or as otherwise permitted by Apple and applicable law.
Raw Apple Health information used to create a post is deleted after the requested post is created unless you affirmatively save it or the information must be retained for security, legal, or dispute purposes. Information you choose to publish in a post becomes User Content and may remain visible according to your selected audience until deleted.
Revoking Apple Health permission stops future access but does not automatically delete posts you previously created from workout information.
J. Photos, camera, and videos
If you grant permission or choose media through a system picker, we may access and process selected photos and videos. We may resize, compress, transcode, scan, store, review, or moderate media to provide the Service, enforce our rules, protect users, and comply with law.
K. Payments, fees, refunds, verification, and payouts
Awnbeat uses Stripe and Stripe Connect for paid-event transactions, identity verification, tax-related functions, refunds, disputes, Host onboarding, and payouts.
We may collect or receive:
- Purchase history, amounts, currency, taxes, platform fees, processing fees, Host fees, refunds, credits, disputes, chargebacks, payout records, reserves, adjustments, and transaction timestamps.
- Stripe customer IDs, PaymentIntent IDs, charge IDs, checkout session IDs, Connected Account IDs, transfer IDs, payout IDs, receipt links, and related metadata.
- Host legal name, date of birth, verification status, onboarding status, payout eligibility, account type, country, currency, charges-enabled status, payouts-enabled status, and tax-document status.
- Limited payment-method details such as brand, last four digits, and expiration information where supplied by Stripe.
Stripe may directly collect full payment card numbers, bank account information, government identification, tax information, identity-verification images, and fraud-prevention information under Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy. Awnbeat generally does not receive full card or bank account numbers.

- Browser and website information collected through cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar technologies.
We use PostHog for product analytics and may use hosting, diagnostic, crash-reporting, customer-support, communication, and security providers to process this information on our behalf.
You may control cookies through your browser and certain analytics or notification choices through the app or device settings. Disabling these technologies may affect Service functionality.

Awnbeat does not sell personal information for money and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Awnbeat does not use Apple Health information, precise location, private messages, government identification, contact-book information, or payment information for targeted advertising.
If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required notice and choice before using information in the new manner.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link. You can opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP. You may reply HELP for help. Opting out of marketing messages does not stop necessary transactional communications.

Event or community invitations may be sent at a user’s direction. Recipients may contact us at info@awnbeat.com to request that Awnbeat stop sending invitations to their phone number or email address.
7. Your Choices and Controls
